MATT HILL, COLUMBIA

WHY – I am fortunate to have parents who instilled in me a wonder and curiosity for our natural resources.  SCWF’s mission and programs provide opportunities to further my own exploration.  It is an organization comprised of similarly minded individuals who work together as a cohesive group to protect our natural resources and to educate others of the importance for doing so.   

BIO – Matt is a native of Tampa, FL and grew up enjoying as many of southwest Florida’s oceans, mangroves, swamps, lakes, rivers and pastures as possible.  He spent summers in the mountains of NC fishing and exploring every mound of dirt and creek near the family home.  He earned a degree in psychology from Davidson College and then pursued a law degree from the University of South Carolina.  He currently practices law in the area of commercial real estate and finance in the Columbia, SC office of Adams and Reese LLP.   Matt spends his time away from the office on the baseball or soccer fields watching his three sons compete, but on the weekends where there are fewer sporting events, you can find Matt and his wife, Amy, and the boys on the boat exploring the SC coast or one of the State’s wonderful lakes or rivers.
