The Hampton-Heyward Society is named for the two primary founders of the South Carolina Wildlife Federation, Harry Hampton and Zan Heyward. During the depths of the Great Depression, Mr. Hampton and Mr. Heyward crisscrossed the state to gain support for wildlife conservation. They quickly signed up thousands of members in all 46 counties.
We honor the legacy of these two men through this society, and we are grateful to donors who give $1,000+ annually to support SCWF’s mission of wildlife and habitat Conservation and Advocacy through Restoration and Education (CARE).
