Great Southeast Pollinator Census

  • Chapin Town Hall Pollinator Garden 157 Columbia Avenue Chapin, SC, 29036 United States (map)

Join SCWF at the Chapin Town Hall pollinator garden on Friday, August 23rd as we celebrate the 2024 Great Southeast Pollinator Census! We will be counting the number of pollinators that land on pollinator plants, all while learning about the differences between different species of bees, butterflies, and more at our Pollinator ID game station. The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a citizen science project that spans across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida. This project is designed for everyone to participate and make a difference for pollinator conservation! Learn more by clicking the image below about how to join the count and helpful resources for identifying pollinators.

Water and snacks will be provided, as well as a cooling station under a canopy tent for shade. Restrooms are available inside Chapin Town Hall.

The count runs from August 23rd-24th and is open to all residents of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida.
