It was a close contest, but coming out on top was this winning entry by Pam Corwin!
In addition to being a talented nature artist, Pam is a fisheries and marine biologist with the SC Department of Natural Resources. Congratulations, Pam!
Pam’s artwork will be included on all of the menus for each Forks, Knives, and Spoonbills event held throughout the state in 2021. Coming up is a Take-out Date Night version of this popular dinner series to be held in Columbia with a creative, endangered species-inspired menu by Chef Jessica Shillato of the Spotted Salamander on March 12th. Tickets for this event include a 3-course dinner and a bottle of red or white wine to be enjoyed alongside a video made by SCWF staff, led by Habitat Manager Jay Keck, who will inform viewers about the roseate spoonbill, the red salamander, the gulf fritillary butterfly and passion vine, and the spotted turtle. Stay tuned for announcements of future events in your area!
